I've lost Chicago!

The title almost says it all! We spent last weekend in Chicago with Susan who was a fantastic tour guide. We went to Union Station where alot of movies have been filmed and saw alot of where the new Batman movie was filmed. Anyway, I took heaps of photos of these places and somehow I deleted all of them off the camera. There was such a nice one of me with Susan at Red Robin having lunch. The kids had a great time with her son Ethan who loves lego, as does my son. We went to the new Lego Discovery Centre and the kids had a ball! We also took a lift to the top floor of the John Hancock Center and had a lovely view from the ladies "Bathroom" of the city (You have to pay to see the view, unless you use the "ladies" which was a glass wall!) There were many of us lined up to take pictures! ROFL

I'm having trouble with internet at the moment here in Canada, but will upload more of my trip when I get to Montreal.....Until then......Love Georgie

We drove so much today....But first I wanted to mention a little town called Murdo, Sth Dakota. It was tiny! We stayed in a room that would've made Norman Bates proud!!! We ate in a little diner that was also a gift shop and a car museum. It was more than just cars though. It had a little town down up with artafacts from the 1800's. Oh and the tin toys were gorgeous! We also saw Mt Rushmore.....It took my breath away.

So back to today! We drove across the state of Minnesota today. A huge day of driving, about 8 hours.

Wyoming and South Dakota

We arrived in Wyoming yesterday.....The following pictures show what it looks like. There is so much Deer, it's not funny! Today we arrived in Deadwood about 6.30pm and we had tea at the Buffalo Steakhouse where we met "Wild Bill Hickcok"

Well, I finally have some internet access in Rawlins, Wyoming! Sorry I haven't uploaded any pictures until now, but haven't had the chance. I also wanted to let you know that I am having trouble with my email. If you want to email me, please use my gmail account. It is whoomsa @ gmail . com . au ..... take out the spaces...Anyhow, these photos are taken at Disneyland, obviously. We had 6 days at DL and loved most of it...Except for all the walking and the lines of people! The fireworks were exceptional!

Here is a photo of Cece (Thread Gatherer), me and Sheryl at the Banquet in Park City for the Shepherds Bush Retreat. We had an absolute blast! We had a beautiful 2 bedroom suite and were in all the same classes together, which were Merry Cox, R & R Reproductions and Needleprint (Jacqueline Holdsworth) and let me tell you, she is one of the nicest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! She is so experienced with Ackworth samplers plus others and her talk on these were out of this world! If you ever have the chance to be in one of these lectures, do it!

This is where I sat at the Banquet. The theme this year was Memories and Nostalgia. We all had to bring a childhood photo of ourselves and each person on the table had to guess who was who. (You can't see mine hehe). This banquet was only last night! Quick aren't I? I have some pictures of some of the classes I took, but they are on a different camera and I will upload them hopefully tomorrow...Until then, take care!
